One of the great lessons my boss at DEG taught me was the importance of planning. Without a plan it’s hard to know where you are going, what you hope to achieve and most importantly HOW!
Which is why I am excited to have a great list of resources for you from Lindsay at the Lean Green Bean who recently finished her Dietetic Internship and will soon be a Registered Dietian! She absolutely lives what she has learned and her are some of her best resources to answer the infamous question:
“How do you have time to eat healthy during the week?“
My answer is simple: Weekend food prep. I’m a huge proponent of spending a little time on Sundays prepping food for the week. It makes it super easy to throw together quick, healthy meals during the week when I’m tired and don’t feel like cooking! I’ve written a few posts to help explain what I do, click on any of the links below to find more information.
But first 5 things you’ll need to be successful:
- Meal plan for the week
- Storage containers
- Dedicated time
Every Sunday for accountability, I do a post showing what I prepped the previous weekend. To make it more fun, I asked for some help from my readers. I asked them to submit photos of their own food prep to showcase on the blog and provide additional ideas to readers.

Big thanks to Lindsay for providing us with all these resources to get our own preparation on this week! I know this will be a huge help for everyone working on their new low sugar diets!
I am grateful for DVR so I can watch ridiculous shows that have no nutritional brain value when I need to relax. — hey don’t judge me!
