Since Run To The Finish started in 2012, I’ve been a one woman show for many of those years. BUT there comes a point where first you realize someone else could do it faster and second that you need to take a rest day, just like in training!
As such, the team has continued to grow to 11 running coaches, a developer, designer, an admin and now a few more things! It’s been a lot of fun to help other runners find their passion alongside me in this space.
Please read the descriptions very carefully, I’m looking for super specific things.
Freelance SEO Content Editor
Over 2,000 articles have been written since RTTF started and more new content is being added every single week, which means some things could use a little touch up.
The SEO Content Editor will be reviewing many of those articles to help clean up older content, ensure that helpful content may be found by Google because it speaks to that SEO need of what people are searching for and providing insights on recommended content gaps we need to fill.
This person needs to be a strong writer and understand how to write in a voice that matches mine).
- Experience using tools like AHREFS, SEMRush, Topic, and others
- Ability to work inside WordPress
- Perform keyword-focused research
- Optimize content with the goal of increasing search traffic while maintaining RTTF voice
- Must be fluent in English and have writing samples
This position does not need to do any social media.
Expected to be a long term project of 3-4 article updates per week. Rate to be discussed based on experience and work.
Freelance Online Business Manager/Marketing
With all this content, 11 coaches and 20 courses it’s time for someone besides me to think about the business strategy. I spent 10 years as an eCommerce consultant doing things like this for Fortune 500 companies, but now I’m too deep in my own weeds to get it all done.
I have ideas of projects, but need someone who can look holistically at the business and create a plan for our efforts in 2024 and beyond.
This person may be more marketing focused and that’s ok too. I’m doing approximately 0 marketing outside of having my social platforms!
- Experience in the online space selling courses
- Understanding of funnels
- Researching the market to determine areas of focus
- Managing new projects
You certainly won’t be running the business, but we’ll be working very closely together so that I can build trust and hand things off to you without micromanaging.
Running Coach (On Hold til 2024)
Currently we are holding on hiring any additional coaches until 2024. However, I get a lot of questions about this and thought I’d give you a heads up on exactly what I look for!
We are not working with coaches that have no experience. Many RTTF coaches started there and I worked very closely with them to gain experience, but at the moment I don’t have the bandwidth to be that great mentor.
- A minimum of 1 year coaching experience (not just having your cert, but having worked with runners)
- Must be run coach certified: RRCA, UESCA, USTAF, VDOT are the primary run certs
- Ideal to have another cert in a focus area whether that is personal training, ultra running, or sports nutrition
- Must be comfortable with strength training and assigning strength workouts (it’s a must for our athletes)
- SPECIFICALLY: I will be looking for coaches with ultra running experience and those who have worked with athletes over 50
Once you become part of the RTTF coaching family, my job is to ensure you consistently have athletes to help! You no longer have to worry about the marketing, as I will handle that for you. You will also have a team of coaches to bounce ideas off of and share a library of workouts.
While we customize every single training plan, you may find a speed session you hadn’t considered or IT Band exercises or ankle strength work that will benefit your athlete.
