  • DID YOU KNOW...let’s hear your random run fact!!!! 🏃‍♀️I ran my first race in 2002. 🏐I was an athlete prior to that. 🤦‍♀️But had and/or faked knee pain to avoid running. 🤷‍♀️I had knee surgery in high school, no one remembers why. 🏃🏃‍♀️My husband is always faster than me, even without training. But right now, I think I could take him in a race over 3 miles. 🏃‍♂️2005 OKC was my first marathon with a guy friend who is over 6’5”. The only time I’ve ever trained consistently with someone. 🏃‍♀️2015 Honolulu was my last marathon, pacing @joditivey for her first with @saucony 👆👆That’s totally part of why Chicago feels like training for my first all over! // Ok your turn!!   • STOP RUN SHAMING. Somedays I choose to bundle up in the cold, the snow or sweat buckets in humidity... other days it’s perfectly fine outside and I still choose the treadmill. // Somedays I choose to climb crazy hills on a trail and somedays I choose to find the fastest paved path possible. // Somedays I choose to run for hours and somedays I choose to run/walk for 20 minutes before calling it a day. // YOU DO YOU. No more shaming people because they don’t train the way you do. Personally, I want to 🥰my running for many years and was really disappointed by messages implying I wasn’t a real runner because I didn’t go out in -15 F(especially when I didn’t have appropriate gear). Mostly because I get messages from many of you feeling like other runners are judging your choices. // Super impressive for all those who go out no matter what and choose to never utilize the treadmill, but it doesn’t make you more of a runner to do one or the other. // Our pool of people who understand our crazy obsession is small enough, let’s not make it smaller.
