BestFoot Challenges

The RunToTheFinsh community is all about focusing on little steps each day to create our best lives.

#BestFoot Challenges are about not waiting for a Monday, a birthday or New Year's to make changes for a better life. We often get caught in a desire for perfection that prevents us from taking small steps each day which will help us reach our goals.

In 2009-2010, I did a series of 30 day challenges starting on my birthday. For me this provided a higher degree of success than any previous resolution or goal because it allowed me to focus on a single change for a finite period (the basis of a habit!).

In 2011 and 2012 I opened these challenges up to my readers and the response was overwhelming. It turns out everyone KNOWS they can do something for just 30 days. The added group support and focus helps us all achieve more {i.e. the 30 day Ab Challenge}.

In 2013-2014 a combination of monthly and larger challenges have taken root. It's allowed for small personalized half marathon training groups and large community support groups like the Holiday and Spring Challenge! Everyone has a chance to stay connected and accountable by checking in each Monday on the weekly link-up! Additionally the #bestfoot is being used on Twitter and Instagram to motivate and connect each other!
