Are you a runner that loathes cross training? I won’t lie that used to be me too! However a few injuries that kept me from running for months and I have come to find that cross training can be a lot of fun. One thing that I mentioned recently in bouncy gym is cross training can provide you with super quick workouts and really get your heart rate soaring when you might not feel like spending 30 minutes on the road.
Gymboss is so cool! I had seen is on Blonde Ponytail, but wasn’t sure it would really be all that useful. Wrong. I can now take this with me for all my work travel to make doing Tabata and HIIT workouts much easier…try timing 30 second intervals by looking at your watch while doing a jumping jack.
According to Jackie Warner “Circuit training uses a group of six to 10 strength exercises that are completed one right after the other with very little rest,” she says. “It simultaneously improves mobility, strength and stamina. Plus, circuit training gives you the best of both worlds by combining resistance training with cardiovascular activity.”
With Gymboss you can more easily do these kinds of workouts by setting it for say 30 seconds to do your weight reps, 30 seconds to do the cardio component. The best thing about this simple gadget is you can control the total reps, rep time and recovery time. That makes it useful in lots of different workouts!

– Step up right leg
– Step up left leg
– Hop on bench with both feet
