Workouts and Gear: OANB

Maybe the reason I don’t set race goals is because then I turn in to a bundle of nerves during race week…this time I didn’t have phantom pains or taper brain, instead I was just trying to think about anything but running because when I did my stomach started doing it’s own acrobatic routine.

The one good thing about attending a conference last week is free carbo loading. OR was that my downfall? Not eating at home where life is fairly unprocessed and consistent…I made good choices for breakfast and dinner every day, largely green and raw…but yum then there was the sugar at the conference.

First up they sent me this great new team race shirt! I couldn’t stop laughing at the back…seriously if someone started telling me their was nut butter at the finish line I bet I’d fight through that fatigue a little better.IMG_0522And because they are awesome I got a little variety pack of nut butters…so recovery week is off to a stellar start…now what will be my redemption race so I can bust out this shirt??
