When I moved to Miami the first thing I did was find any space near me that was green and allowed me to be outdoors!! Living directly in downtown we are largely surrounded by the concrete jungle, but I found with just a short drive (assuming tourists aren’t in town) I could be at what has become one of my favorite spots.
South Pointe Park
Being located on Miami Beach, South Pointe can be filled with hustle and bustle, but it also has this relaxed peaceful atmosphere. In the last three years at this park I have hosted the Annual Resolution Run, outdoor yoga, Run Club Relays and taken our anniversary pictures.
I recommend it to everyone visiting who is looking for something to do…and you know it must be special because reportedly J Lo’s Miami condo overlooks this area….grass, trees, water, amazing views, running pathways…sigh…I love a great park!

Great, so I love my park what does that mean for you??? Well this is 3rd Annual America is Your Park contest sponsored by Coca-Cola. The park with the most votes will win a $100,000 recreation grant from the Coca-Cola Live Positively initiative and the coveted title of “America’s Favorite Park.”
