Finishing an amazing weekend with the Oakley Women’s team and gearing up for the Vegan Challenge which starts on March 1!! Check out this amazing post from Peachy Palate on how going vegan changed her life
If you are even semi-interested in what it means to be Vegan or why so many believe it is a great health choice I hope you will open yourself up to this challenge, since it will provide you a great system of group support.
GOALS
Kind of thinking I may do away with this goals section and instead attempt meal planning. Not that I don't have goals, but right now I have daily goals from my Sacred 6 and those are all to help me with larger goals.
Blog wise my biggest goal is the Vegan Challenge. I am pulling together all kinds of resources to help us all be successful.

PM: Beach Yoga, amazing hike in Laguna hills![]()
Overall: I really want to increase my overall pace, but my legs are fighting me every step of the way. So I’m being patient and trying to just keep doing speed work and taking the other runs as they come.
Best Workout: The hike was out of this world. I truly love getting a chance to be on the trails.
Nutrition: I love veggies. Really I just never thought I would totally crave vegetables, but I do! I surprised a client by showing up with my own salad for lunch because I just couldn’t eat the food they kept ordering without feeling heavy or hungry all afternoon.
iPod: Live your best life podcast
New Gear: Larabar cappuccino… yup here is a VEGAN option for all you challengers. Larabar is an all natural treat and yes I do say treat because it is high in sugar and has a decent number of calories. BUT it is made from things like dates and cashews, so the ingredients are completely clean and unprocessed.![]()

These are a great pre-run energy bar or post run start to recovery.. You need to pair it with protein if you are eating it post run, but that is one point where your muscles need carbs so don’t be afraid!
The cappuccino bar was a fun pre-workout thing for me because I never have caffeine! It is definitely something that allows me to run for longer or workout harder. I have experimented with it before in small doses and definitely like the way I feel when eating it in this bar versus trying a drink or something that leaves me feeling like my heart is racing.
If you can find the Larabar mini’s those are my personal recommendation. They are only 100 calories and give you that sweet taste you might be craving, but without the guilt of reaching for candy.
