When I’m running, there isn’t much that bothers me…I mean I’m running!! However, since moving to Miami I have noticed that the number of men and women who find it acceptable to stare me down is growing. People who visit have noticed it too, so I’m not completely paranoid.
Nonetheless… unless it’s race day I would prefer that you nod and then stop staring!
RACE DAY ATTIRE
Race day is a whole different ball game! I want to hear my name being yelled and I want my family and friends to spot me on the race course. Hence an outfit like this from Relax Reflect…this is my anticipated outfit for Colorado Ragnar in June!! Look out girls not only can I wear it all together for SUPERIOR night vision, but I can break it up. 
Oye vey, I need to work on my posing…but on serious note these clothes really are pretty amazing. The material used in them is the same as what highway safety workers wear! So while Ragnar gave a few folks some trouble about wearing only this and not the orange vest, I say I’m far more likely to be spotted in this and probably receive a honk or two! Wouldn’t you rather wear a snazzy shirt that still makes you very visible than those funky orange vests?! Come on Ragnar…I smell a cross sponsorship opportunity. 
She actually makes all of her clothing by hand! Isn’t that amazing? It means that if you wanted to create a group shirt for a race, totally doable!! This clothing line came about because her husband is an athlete and was often biking when it was dark (hello winter months) and she knew he wouldn’t wear those ugly vests…so with a little ingenuity she developed the fun fashionable product. There are a ton of pictures on her FB page that you can checkout to see all the amazing designs.
Do people stare while you are out running? Do you purposely pick out stand out outfits for race day? I’m really considering a tutu next time around (inspired by the original tutu wearer that I know Caution Red Head Running).
