In the 9 years I have been running, I have never once pestered my family, friends or readers to donate to a cause. Why? Because if I wanted to support a cause, I wrote the check myself. But the truth of the matter is that one person alone cannot make the change that a group can…friends matter.
Oakley has paired up with the Young Survival Coalition to donate proceeds from their breast cancer awareness products. I don’t need much of a reason to add something pink to my wardrobe, but this is a fantastic one!

Young Survival Coalition (YSC) is the premier global organization dedicated to the critical issues unique to young women who are diagnosed with breast cancer. YSC offers resources, connections and outreach so women feel supported, empowered and hopeful.
I will also be running the Komen Race for the Cure this Saturday and plan to put everyone’s name on my shirt who donates! Unless there are just so many I can’t, which would be the best problem ever.
