Workouts and Goals: Aug 8

Wow so we went snorkeling in Key Largo yesterday and the remnants of tropical storm Emily showed up…choppy water = motion sick Amanda. I’m trying to get over it today, but I swear my condo is actually swaying.

Veggies: Back to a couple green smoothies, lovin some cauliflower salad “faux potato salad”…feeling good
Yoga: Enjoyed a couple yoga sessions, but didn’t do 3 because I didn’t want to keep leaving my friend who was visiting..since I was still doing my runs..but per the next item it was ok
Laughter: Thank goodness for my friend coming to visit it gave me many reasons to remember to laugh and not work!

Aug 1
AM: 8 x 400m @ 7:30 + 4 miles = 6 miles, 20 min walk, 20 min weights
PM: 10 min stretch, 20 min walk

Aug 2
AM: 30 min walk, 2.5 mile easy run
PM: 50 min Jivamukti yoga, 20 min walk, 3.5 mile run

Aug 3 
AM: 20 min walk, 2.5 mile run, 15 min weights
PM: 20 min walk, 2.5 mile run, 10 min elliptical

Aug 4
AM: 2 x1 mile @ 10K pace, 2 min recovery + 2.5 miles = 5.5 total, 20 min walk

Aug 5
AM: 10 min walk, 6.5 mile run

Aug 6
AM: 3 mile run, 30 min weights, 30 min bike

Aug 7
AM: 11 mile run, 20 min walk, 1 hour snorkeling
100% humidity I swear that’s how it felt all week…my shirts were dripping, but oh it was fun to run in things that kept me motivated.
Here is our single hill in Miami where the group ran Sunday… Rickenbacker Causeway.

Overall: Very excited I managed to complete both speed workouts this week again
Favorite Run: Really proud of my 11 miler, it wasn’t the mileage I wanted but it was a week of listening to my body
Favorite Workout: Enjoyed that single yoga session this week
Nutrition: I’m not a big fan of eating out, but we did a lot with my friend…so I enjoyed some great salads and am now SUPER excited to eat veggies at home this week.
Training Plan: Going to post more on this later this week…I may have finally found a way to follow a plan 
iPod: Just downloaded the 2 Twilight book..so I guess you could say I like it :) Also got my iPod replaced again for free since the battery died

  4. Hahah - that "hill" you do your hill runs on makes me smile. You need to come to Colorado and run with me and get in some good hills :). Sorry about the motion sickness - bleh! Hope it passes soon!
