The largest organ we have is our skin…yet, I have to say many of us take it for granted not using enough sunblock or moisturizer or putting thought in to what goes ON our skin.
Did you know that your body absorbs things via skin much faster than anything you ingest? It’s wonderful that many of us have chosen to eat organic foods and remove processed foods from our diets to eliminate chemicals and toxins…but we aren’t eliminating some of the major chemicals in our lives.
HAIR CARE I have often wondered if a natural product would provide the same results as my highly marketed curl defining, super powerful frizz fighting shampoo and conditioner. Celadon Road has been my first step in to trying out natural hair care products. I am still using it in rotation with my other hair care because the truth is I’m just worried about my hair. Vain? Yes. In that case, I should be far more concerned with the long term impacts of the chemicals I’m slathering on.![]()
So far what I can say is this…the smell is so much better than any other shampoo, the container is recyclable and pretty, my hair feels great when I use it and I feel great about it! For those of you who highlight or color your hair, a natural shampoo will be sulfate free which helps ensure your hair isn’t being stripped of color or natural oils.
Natural shampoo benefits:
- will not strip your scalp of moisture
- will not coat your hair in silicon or leave other residue
- reduces your carbon footprint
- gentle on your skin
- provides natural ingredients to stimulate growth and health
Also very cool for many of you entrepreneurs is that Celadon Road has a program much like Arbonne or Avon that allows you to sell products you truly believe will make the lives of those around you better.
MOISTURIZER I posted previously about Sunfood MSM Lotion and have continued to use the MSM moisturizer instead of any fragrance items. I do feel really good about this and know it has helped with bruises healing faster (of which I have too many) and helped to even out my skin tone as well.
I am sold on the all natural skin care here! FACIAL Recently, I took up the Skintactix 30 day challenge. I love the face wash which smells like cinnamon and the final mask of green tea. The smells are really refreshing and I noticed once I washed with a bar soap in a hotel the other night how much my skin had gotten used to those friendlier ingredients.
I won’t lie, it takes something labeled 1, 2, 3 to make sure I use it daily and correctly. In fact, my biggest complaint is that you are supposed to use small amounts and any time I squeeze the bottle I get a handful, so I'm wasting good product….I’m also still breaking out a little, so maybe 1,2,3 isn’t enough for me.

I.tried a natural hair product but it didn't work. I am desperate to find one that does!
I haven't ever tried natural hair care but I would love to! I actually planned to last time my shampoo ran out... but then I forgot. DUH!
I've never tried a natural hair care product... except lemon juice when I was trying to lighten my hair as a teenage, but I don't think that counts. :P
I have not tried natural hair care... yet.

Not yet (other than the slightly-better hypoallergenic shampoo/conditioner I just started using), but I'm ready to switch. After some recent skin problems (cause still unresolved), I'd just rather cut out as many chemicals as I can.
I've never tried natural hair care before. I am cheap and usually go for bargain brands at Target. This line looks awesome though!
I entered the digital safety ID giveaway!
I've tried natural body products, but never hair care- I, too, am a little nervous about it having adverse affects on my hair style (despite it being great for my body).
I just visited their website- the Ginger Salt Scrub looks heavenly!
I haven't tried it but I'm interested to!

I haven't tried this brand (very curious!), but switched to Shikai a couple of years ago. I like there shampoo and detangler.
Will that work on my heel? If so, please enter me about 400 times! :)
Putting your giveaway on my blog.
The best I've done is Lush, which has vegan products. Love their bar shampoo and conditioner. Would love to try another brand (and my hubby would love it for the septic tank!).
My favorite natural hair care tip is just to wash less! I only wash my hair every other or every third day and it looks way better. And I save money on shampoo, too!
I've never tried natural hair care, but now I am intruiged!

I've been using Aubrey Organics shampoo/conditioner in the Honeysuckle Rose scent. The first time I ran after I used it, my sweaty hair smelled fabulous. I kept smelling roses, and couldn't figure out what it was...finally, I realized it was my hair...LOL!!
I would love to try their skin lotion. My legs and arms get extremely dry in the summer.

This really made me think about what I put ON my body! I haven't tried natural hair care but would love to!
I would love to try their lip balm and body butter!
I have tried Aubrey, but that was quite a few years ago. Would love to try a different brand :)
Celadon Comfort Scrub looks lovely!
Hi Amanda! It has been awhile since I've been here...not sure why I have not seen your posts on my blog roll. This is a really important issue and I'm glad you bring it up. I often think about this when I see my friends lathering on self-tanning lotions...whatever is in that stuff doesn't smell good and I doubt it is good for us! But I need to be way better at choosing good hair care and lotions for my family. Thanks!
I've never tried natural hair products but I'd love to see if they made a difference with my highlighted mop! :)
I don't think I've tried any natural haircare product before really. Closest is probably Burt's Bees...and I guess that's over 90% natural they say? :)

I havent tried any natural haircare, no.
Another product that looks good are the salt scrubs =)
I have tried natural hair care, and it is what I use 100% of the time now. In my experience, it works just as well as products with yucky chemical and additives.

I would love to try some natural products to see if it would make my thin hair look fuller.
I'd love to try the Lemongrass Ginger salt scrub, or any of the salt and sugar scrubs.
Have never used a natural shampoo or conditioner. Think it's time I start.
Would like to try some of the body butters.
50 is creeping up on me. Time to treat my hair with some TLC.
The Lavender products sound too good to pass up.
Guess a male could benefit from natural products too.
I have really dry skin. Maybe the Lemongrass would be helpful.
I have not tried natural hair care products, but I've been meaning to do it...I should really just make a point to try them.
Some great stuff here - this is all really hard for me to get unless I get online. I have tried a few products but like I said, when I run out (and don't pre-order) I end up with what I can buy here. I want to try the facial stuff!
