So here is my quick update on what's going on:
A. Ran with SB2SB again last night and I really love this group. I can't believe it's taken me 7 years of running to finally decide that a group is fun. I mean it was 95 degrees and I ran my fastest 4 miles in weeks with them.
B. I tried water skiing for the first time ever this weekend...and totally got up on my first try! I didn't make it too far, but hey I didn't hurt myself either which was really D's biggest concern.
C. Sweet hubs ran with me again Sunday...man I love being that annoying couple that works out together!
D. I am seriously po'ed at myself for my over consumption of sweets lately. So I'm taking the path of focusing on eating at least 7-9 fruits and veggies daily, rather than saying DON'T EAT THAT or whatever, it's a much healthier mind set.

Gratitdue Journal
July 28
I am grateful for group runs
I am grateful for potential work for hubby
I am grateful hubby is doing dinner with the boys
I am grateful for healthy take out
I am grateful for not working so late all the time
26 good vibes:
Oh I love boating! Congrats for getting up the first time! Keep trying! It's well worth it when you can stay up for a while and start messing around doing tricks and whatnot.
good luck working late tonight!
The annoying couple who works out together??? LOL, since we bring our kids we must my double annoying..
Have a great day!!
FYI I am feeling the 95' too, HOT!!!
Since I've been running with my stepson it makes me wish the husband would start running again. I know his feet bother him a lot (due to his job), maybe he'd start up again if they stopped hurting him.
I'd love it if my husband worked out with me! Lucky lady. :o)
i like that fruit/veggies idea. I'm going to try it!
oooh here's a fruit i recommend now: cantelope. i've been craving it like craaaazy!!!! :) it's just a matter of having stuff on hand for me. if it's there, i will usually choose the healthy stuff. but if i don't have stuff around i'll usually go junk. it takes energy to stay stocked tho!!!! :)
hooray for group runs!!!!!! i wish i had a more convenient group to run with. i haven't been to running club in forever cuz it's a lil too far and trafficky. i miss groups tho!!!!! nice work on a fast four miles, too :) in heat no less!!!!!!
keep your head up with all this work. sounds bogging :(
yay for partners who exercise together! Chris and I like to bike ride together and it makes such a difference for me when I go with a group. I tend not to wimp out lol

Summer is the best time to eat all the fresh veggies and fruit - you should have no problem girly!
So jealous the hubbs is running with you, mine rides his bike next to me. His is my water boy, but I would love to share running instead with him! :)
my hubs is a cyclist & I am a runner, so we hardly ever work out together, which makes me sad. Sometimes. sometimes it makes me happy knowing that I can run further & faster, and if he took up running, I'm sure he'd be faster than me....
it's hot here, too. YUCK!
Running in the heat = no fun.
Running with a group = so much fun!
I like your philosophy of 'eat more fruits & veggies' as opposed to 'don't eat cookies!' - I should try that.
Thank you for your comment! It is really fun and satisfying to play with food presentation, but you know I eat A LOT of cold dinners getting caught up taking pictures! lol :)
I hope the work load lightens up!! Congrats on getting up the first time water skiing! I heard its really hard (I've never tried it myself) so that sounds like a huge accomplishment! I think its cute when couples workout together ;)
Hey thanks for visiting my blog! I'm likin' yours and excited to read more.
I love that you say what you are grateful for. I did a post on gratitude here: http://www.livelaugheat.com/?p=236.
I need to remember your mindset rather than being negative and mean to myself because I have quite the sweet tooth :)
Awww running with your honey is awesome isn't it?
Man running with the hubby (or doing anything like it) helps keep the marriage alive, I am convinced. We've been doing it for 15 years and still going strong!!!
I need to detox my body from sweets too. Ever since the 4th of July, I have been going crazy!
i am a water skiing failure! I've only tried once but ate enough salt-water to ward me off for a lifetime.
Sometimes I have days where I eat too many sweets so I like your idea. I try to just take the next day as a fresh start and then watch what I consume!
Water-skiing is so much fun! I am so glad that you tried it and succeeded!!
Group runs are my favorite - such a fun time to connect!
I really have enjoyed the people that I've met running, and having the group as motivation is awesome! I think I'd be too scared to try waterskiing now, but when I did try (way younger), I sucked. lol Congrats on remaining injury free and getting up!! LOL
I grew up with a boat but never tried water skiing...I was too chicken. Still am to this day! Good job!
you got up on your first try! (TWSS ha) BUT for real thats AMAZING! water skiing is so hard!!
yay for loving your running group!
Good thinking with the focus on fruit and veggies! Maybe you'll be so satisfied from them that you won't want sweets!
I am on day two of my no sweets kick, you can do it!!!
I've been terrible with my eating as well...have to stop it!
That's awesome that you found a running group that you love... and that the hubs is joining you on some runs! I'm 0 for 2 of this front. Oh well :)
Great attitude about the sweets consumption. Hopefully with more fruits and veggies you'll cut down on the sweets... they're not always interchangeable but often we do crave sweets because we're hungry and don't even realize it. Good luck! I definitely have the same sweet tooth issue!
