Clearly it's hot...it's 100 degrees plus humidity...I realize this is a problem for most people, but I won't lie I'm so happy it's not winter I don't care.
After meeting with the girls this weekend and having some conversations at work it strikes me how I'm surrounded by wonderful people who are always striving to be better than what they are and do more, experience more, etc. I think this is great, but it also means we too often forget to pat ourselves on the back for how much we have achieved...in that vein I am reviewing July!
July 1: Started physical therapy...could barely walk
July 2-5: lots of walking and physical therapy
July 6: Attempt first run ...pieced together 1 mile
July 7 - 11: Continue piece together moments of jogging to equal a mile, plus daily physical therapy
July 12: Bust out a 3.6 miler...I don't know how.
July 13 - 31: Short runs, long walks, daily physical therapy, learning to run down hill again, learning what it's like to be sore again
August 1: 5.15 miles with no pain
It was 80degrees with 80 percent humidity making this not the most fun ever, but darn it I am back to 5 miles.

Also very excited because in July:
I learned to enjoy cooking
I ate at least 2 veggies a day/5 days a week
I ate at least 2 fruits a day/5 days a week
I did light weights 3 times a week
I did ab work 2 times a week
I finished my wedding thank you notes
I read 3 good books
I learned a lot about focusing my energy on the right things
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
August Goals:
(Knowing the knee truly needs more time I'm going to keep these very baby stepish)
1. Do a one mile speed run each week and work to get it down to 8:40.
2. Do a long run of at least 7 miles
3. Do weights 3 times a week
4. Do abs 3 times a week
5. 2 Fruits and 2 Veggies 7 days a week
6. Call a friend I haven't talked to in a while
7. Head to the courthouse to get this stupid small claim finally filed
8. Send pictures to printer for our wedding book
5 good vibes:
Fruits and veggies. Very good. I think a lot of people overlook these little natural energy boosters.

You did an AMAZING job in July! I didn't even manage to get in three workouts a week... I think that will be my August goal.

I'm with you, I'm happy as long as it's not winter I'm happy too!
