McDavid sent me their women's compression pants and Power Jumper Leg Sleeves to check out and give you my thoughts... heck I already know I'm going to head back and get their Thermal Hood...hello keep my face warm and sweat free in the not yet warm weather!
Why do you need compression?
It is believed that compression shorts provide a performance advantage. The major muscles of the legs do not lose energy due to unnecessary motion and vibration. This is because they are uniformly compressed by the clothing. Momentum reducing factors like friction are also reduced by keeping the thigh and groin muscles separate.
- Prevents muscle pulls, reduces fatigue, and increases proprioception
- Compression supports the large muscle groups which helps reduce muscle pulls and fatigue.
- The tight fit of compression also increases proprioception (the ability to sense the position, location, orientation and movement of the body and its parts) for better performance.
- Fits like a second layer of skin and moves with your body to help reduce abrasions, chafing and skin irritation.
- Reduces fatigue and muscle pulls so you can play your best.

What a great contest!
I would really love to try these pants, but I couldn't seem to find them on the website when I was nosing around earlier (after I read about them on your post this morning).
I think the pants are the way to go for us runners. Would you recommend them for use in the heat?
I might have to go for the shorts though to fit my longer legs and allow for airflow in the hot hot summer.
Wow, do you ever stop giving stuff away?
I'd love a good pair of compression pants for the winter time (could have used them yesterday). These look wonderful.
Although I was quite interested in this ankle brace too, since I have a bad ankle. But I think the pants would win out.
YAY! i'm a loyal bloggie! :)
1. i would want the compression pants for sure-- my winter running pants have been "hanging on" but i def need some new ones that are maybe actually meant for running...
2. i would also be interested in trying the shin splint supports... just to see if they made a difference!
thanks for the contest! oh and i was having some issues with their website, fyi...
i would love to try the compression pants.. i get more injuries after long runs.. maybe these would help..
I didn't know McDavid sold compression stuff. Interesting. Happy to hear the pants worked out so well for you. I think I would get the shorts they have on the site. My newest compression socks are working great on my lower legs, but my quads are glutes are still sore.
compression pants, for sure...they should have a runner's section on their web site though, took me forever to navigate around to find them on there...
Awesome contest! I really want those compression pants!
Although - I did check out the site, and that hexpad sports bra looks pretty sweet too!
Well I'm a little new to outside running most of my running has been at the gym on the treadmill so I didn't need much but I'm finding it a whole different animial when running outside. Like how a shirt can rub your arms raw. OUCH! So I was thinking their shirt was pretty cool.
I saw several things I would love to try. My daughter has knee problems and the knee brace might be something she needs to try. Something for my sore calves would be great too :)
And I love your blog!
I'd love to try leg sleeves and compression pants-- they just look so hardcore, and your performance in the 1/2 is definitely a ringing endorsement!
the women's compression pants look awesome - didn't even know these existed!
I'm dying to try compression pants/socks!! Sign me up!!
And I'm loyal...a little stalkerish, actually.
oh very cool! i love to try out those pants too. the leg sleeves look awesome too... my shins and calves are the areas that get the most sore and those could probably help!
yay i am loyal right?!? :)
I am going to have to check McDavid out. Good thing you blogg otherwise I would miss out on tons of great items.
Thanks for the tips on "why" we would want to wear them in the first place. You hear people talk about them but never explain the why you should or need to wear them.

Oooh...this makes me excited! I've never heard of McDavid before. I feel like I'm out of the loop. I would try their compression pant...with my wonky knee/leg/calf, they might help to keep everything together during my runs.
I would love anything that would help with my half marathon in Central Park on April 26th. The compression pants look awesome but would they be too hot for spring/summer? If so then probably the shin sleeves!
I would love to try the compression pants! Great contest!
Love the pics! Hehe.. I can't bring myself to try on compression pants, though.
I would love to try the shin splint supports too. Wonder if they make a difference. I also am going to write a review on some Zensah the other day. I used arm warmers at my race this weekend!
I was pretty excited about the sports bras (there can never be enough compression there), until I realized that their XXXL is 42-44C. I mean seriously - there are no sports bras for bigger than a C cup? And XXXL = C? WTF? Are there not enough X's in the world for me, then? (Am now trying to let anger go....it's not working....moving on.)
Maybe a pair of the sliding shorts - although if it weren't 70 degrees right now, I might vote pants. They'd sure come in handy for cooler runs!
I'd love the sleeves or the pants. I think I might even wear the sleeves under my nurse's uniform cause those 12 hour days on my legs can be brutal. Thanks for the giveaway!
The pants look sweet!

Awesome contest. I think I'd have to try some of those #815 Deluxe Performance Compression Pants.

I would love those jumper knee straps. I can't believe they come in multiple colors!
I also think the calf supports would be incredible on long runs; mine get so worn out.
I am 100% a compression shorts girl. At that price I may be purchasing a few things..
I am new to your Blog but I may be approaching 10+. Thanks for the fun contests and great info!!
Happy Monday
I've never seen pants, only socks!! I want the COWBOY COLLAR!! That just sounds cool.. but really I would want pants or socks. : )
Another great contest! I wouldn't mind having a nice knee sleeve! Looks like a lot of great stuff on the website, however!
I'd love to try the women's compression shorts. Also, their fusion sports bra sounds awesome. Thanks for hosting this!
I like the sound of the 6570 Power Jumper™ Leg Sleeves. A few times a month, I get some pretty unbearable calf cramps, and these leg sleeves sound like they'd help. Thanks!
Great contest! I have always wanted to try compression leggings! I would definitely want a pair of their amazing shorts since I am running my 2nd half marathon in May! :)

I would also have to go with the pants. I've always wondered about compression products. Thanks for the chance to win and the product review!
How did I miss this on Monday???
OK, I would definitely want the pants -- I'm in chilly upstate NY and I'm a cold weather wimp so pants are my friends. I haven't seen compression pants before! Very cool.
And I'm loyal!
PS I'll link on my post today
I like the pants as well. Interesting line of clothing, thanks for the link.
I've just recently started reading your blog and love it! I would like to try compression pants or the shorts. :)
Wow, this site is crazy, the hex pad stuff is nutso! I think though, I'm going to have to go for a pair of the #6570 Power Jumper™ Leg Sleeves like you suggested! Not very creative, but I'm a sucker for the power of suggestion like everybody else, right? -e
I love compression pants for the winter and the Fusion sports bra looks awesome!
i think i could use some leg sleeves with the muscle/joint issues i've been having lately! awesome giveaway. i'll link back this afternoon!
Oh wow, what a great giveaway! I am really interested in compression tights! I looked at the webstie, and I also would one day like to try the Universal Shoulder Support. My shoulders are bad... boo.
Thanks!
Wow, cool! I'd like to try the compression pants. It'd be really interesting to feel the difference as opposed to just regular shorts/pants!
this giveaway is awesome!

great contest!
I need new running outfits for coming marathon i've signed up!
I would definitely get the pants since my current ones are about done for and I like how "...our Hydravent hDc™ Moisture Management Technology enhances heat control, comfort and performance." sounds all technical. ;) The hexpad sports bra sounds good too, and I could use extra padding there, haha.
I totally need the shin splint sleeve. I don't get them every time I run, but there are days when it is so painful I want to cry. :(
Thanks for the giveaway. ^^
I think those pants would be amazing for me! My thighs kind of rub together at the top so I HATE to run in shorts and I usually end up running in my yoga pants which I don't really like to do either. I've read about compression pants before and wondered if they actually work so after hearing your review I would LOVE the chance to try them! :)
