Quite frankly I was too tired to get in a run that would have been worth anything, so I did a hard walk on high incline, to get all woken up and ready to go...next up..MOM's GIFT! I found this great necklace and she was over the moon about it because she loves big nice jewelry, she even got a compliment on it yesterday.
Let's start with the most hideous dress (for my personality that is), and the one of course my MUM picked. Gotta love the woman, but ewww.
Followed up by me making love to the camera because after 42 shots I don't know what else to do. This all started with one shopping trip in July and we finished it up yesterday.
The funny face shot was the dress we all thought in July was the winner, honestly everything was fine...and even yesterday I just kept putting on dresses and thinking ok well this is fine. I was getting worried about how to choose....
Then I walked out and started to cry...and I quote "Oh my God I'm getting married." Seriously the right dress and suddenly it was all real.

And Thank Goodness because I wasn't sure how to pick...now I must dress everyone else in the wedding...I'm excellent at decisions for work, but this oye. FUN THOUGH!
Now due to prying eyes I can't show you the dress, but suffice to say everyone loved it and as Jules put it "YOU LOOK HOT!" Ok, come on who wants anything less on her wedding day.

Now for those not interested in my wedding attire, I did get in a really great run today. I decide to do 10 miles, most of it at an easy pace and two miles thrown in at an 8 minute pace. It was good and I'm feeling really excited for San Fran.
Oh I also got some new MIZUNO's, some winter running pants and some cool weather gloves. Yeah I had a discount and was all over gearing up because I need to and well I love new shoes!

First, sorry to hear about the 5k but at least you were able to get another great run in later in the weekend!
Second, how fun! The rest of your weekend sounds awesome! Congrats to finding THE dress. Can't wait to see the pics from the big day!!!
Sorry about the race, but congrats on finding the perfect dress.
Am I the only one who's glad the race was cancelled? You've got a BIG race next week! WTH were you thinking signing up for a 5k now?
Anyway, congrats on the wedding dress. It's so exciting! I would definitely pick a different dress today than the one I got married in 19 years ago, but then it was the '80s and there was nothing "hot" about that decade! When's the BIG DAY?
Congrats! All you need is the dress ... the rest of it is just logistics ;)
Wedding is set for March 29th, which seemed really far away in say March when I set the date and is rather long since we got engaged in January, but oh my it's getting close now!!
We are getting married on the beach, in some location we've never been too which means it's also a vacation!! Followed by a honeymoon that needs to get planned pretty quickly.
And Wolfie, I totally knew the race was a bad idea, but sometimes you decide to do things anyways. Thank goodness, life stopped my from my silliness.
Good luck in San Fran!!!
About the "OMG I am getting married." I experienced that myself. I sometimes now, even after 2.5 years of marriage, have the "OMG I AM MARRIED" moments. Very strange!
what a great weekend!
serendipitous that the race was called off ... you don't want to run in the rain a week before your big race. nothin' but trouble there.
so glad you found your dress! how fun. i remember that moment too - when you KNOW you found the right one. i remember it when shopping with my sister for her - she knew. you just know. so fun!!!
5 days to go!
"The dress" must be pretty lovely! The last photo of you in a gown was gorgous! You're going to be such a beautiful bride:)
Way to go on the 10 mile run! Running was the only thing that helped me get through my wedding plans.
Very cool, you found THE DRESS.
Great running!!
Yay for new shoes! Getting married is pretty stressful so it sounds like you're handling it pretty normally. Your race is so close! Woohoo!
