Really can one person handle all that in just one weekend...wait ONE DAY!! That's right, after a full year of not signing up for one single race, I'm doing a 5K Saturday morning and darn it I plan to run it hard as a training sprint run. Ok, I know this goes against what many of you told me...so maybe I'll rethink that this morning.
Following that will be a mad dash home, to shower, shave and shine myself up for wedding dress shopping. Ok, fine I may not need to shave I mean who will see my legs. During this time my dear mum will be driving herself the whooping 16 miles to my house, a death defying feat for which she may hyperventalate since she does not care to drive outside her normal circle.
Once she arrives, I will need to remind myself that while I want the day to be about well.... ME... it's her birthday. Dude, I need a gift...seriously doh!
Ok, so mom arrives, two friends arrive and it's time to book it to a bridal shop...try on mucho gowns, eat lunch, book it to the next bridal shop and try on mucho gowns. Get the picture, I need a dress here people.
And you know what... I AM SO EXCITED!!! Everything about this day sounds wonderful.
So keep your eyes peeled for some great sweaty pics of me and some hopefully better pics of me in white, pretending to be the inocent little girl that every parent believes their daughter to be.

Haha! That sounds like a fun time! Just remember to give yourself some time to stop sweating after the race before the shower. You don't want to try on dresses while you're still sweating (even if you've showered)! Have a great time and safe treading.

Ah, wedding dress shopping! I loved the first 1 or 2 times I went out...then I got over it. I was like, will someone just pick one for me already???? And eventually, my now mother-in-law did pretty much that :) (and my dress was perfect)

Hope the shopping went well! I bet the shopping will take 10 times the energy of the 5K. But both worth all the effort.
I am sure that your mom thinks the dress shopping is a fantastic present on her day.
